On 1 December, Chileans, Colombians, Argentinians and Brazilians living in Melbourne marched to give their support to the efforts of the peoples of their countries of origin to stand up to brutal regimes and win basic rights.
A stand was made for the rights of women.
This video was created by Colombian journalist Camilo Montoya Yepes.
He says “I’ll tell you why” they are marching. Participants say they are fighting brutality, for a decent income, pensions and other basic services. All are suffering and this brings Latinos together.
